Pelikan Pens

The improved reputation of fountain pens in everyday use over the recent number of years has been accompanied by a hike in the number of collectors. These collectors of classic pens differ from a lot of collectors in that loads of them prefer to use their collection, at least sometimes. A good fountain pen can virtually last you for a lifetime if it is well cared for.

Not that long ago I used a Pelikan rollerball pen from a work colleague and felt I was in the attendance of something special. Couple of days ago I found a merchant auctioning a Pelikan 1931. Luckily I secured it for a superb price. The sales page said that it was in excellent condition and I must say was he correct. It was in like new condition, with inner and outside boxes and all the papers. It’s a beautiful Pelikan and all my friends is asking me where they can get one. The best fact for me is that it is a superb Pelikan pen. It glides across paper like no other pen I’ve ever used. I must praise the Pelikan artists, this truly is a masterpiece.

It is critical to pick a nib with the appropriate head to allow for your writing habits. There are distinct head sizes that make correspondingly different sized writing, depending upon the level of pressure that is exerted on them.
